Alphabet brew: Letter blocks for coffee cups

The Alpha Coffee Table from Crate and Barrel is inspired by a find in a Paris flea market and is carved from a single piece of wood with raised letters and numbers, protected by tempered glass.
This coffee table would certainly be a conversation started and such a great example of retro/modern, old meets new.
If only it was available in Australia, I would snap it up in an instant!
Check out the Alpha Coffee Table.

Comments:
Two things in the past 12 hours that I have searched for online have led me straight to your blog. The first was for a retro telephone bench, and yours was my favourite of the search. The second was for this Alpha Coffee Table that I had seen at Crate and Barrel when I was in the States in November and now unfortunately is no longer available to buy online. Looks like we have similar tastes and styles! I too have had my eye on a Flensted mobile at the London Design Museum shop for some time now (I'm a big Sandy Calder fan but cannot afford an original Calder)! Anyway, just wanted to say that I like your blog and will continue peeking in here! :)
